1. Getting Started
Welcome to ProLIMS! After signing up and logging in, you will land on your Dashboard. This dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your today's patients, pending tests, and revenue.
Tip: Always ensure your subscription is active. If you see a warning banner at the top, you must upload your payment slip in the Settings area.
2. Managing Patients
Before you can create a lab order, you must register the patient.
- Click on Patients in the left sidebar menu.
- Click the + New Patient button at the top right.
- Fill in their Name, Age, Gender, and Phone Number.
- Click Save Patient.
3. Orders & Tests
Once a patient is registered, you can assign tests to them.
- Go to Lab Orders and click New Order.
- Select the patient from the dropdown list.
- Select a referring doctor (optional) and apply any discounts.
- In the tests section, select the tests you want to perform (e.g., CBC, LFTs).
- Enter the amount paid by the patient and click Create Order.
4. Entering Results
After collecting the sample, it's time to enter the test results.
- Go to Test Results. You will see a list of all pending tests.
- Click the Enter Results button next to an order.
- Input the values for each parameter. The system will automatically check if the value is Normal, High, or Low based on the reference ranges.
- Click Save & Verify Results.
5. Printing Reports
Once results are verified, the report is ready to be printed.
Go to the Lab Orders page and click the Print Report button next to a completed order. The report will open in a new, printer-friendly tab complete with your lab's branding and a verifiable QR code.
6. WhatsApp Add-on
If you have purchased the WhatsApp Add-on, the system will automatically queue PDF reports to be sent to the patient's registered phone number as soon as the results are verified.
- You can view the status of sent messages in Settings -> WhatsApp Config.
- Messages are sent with a delay of 2-3 minutes to prevent your number from getting blocked.
- You can adjust the maximum messages per hour from the Settings page.
7. Inventory & Expenses
ProLIMS also helps you manage your lab's financial health.
- Inventory & Reagents: Add your testing kits and chemicals. Track purchase history and prices to know how much you are spending on supplies.
- Expenses: Record daily expenses like electricity bills, salaries, and maintenance. You can categorize them and even upload scanned receipts as proof.
- Reports: The system automatically calculates your total revenue minus expenses to show your actual profit.
